ABOUT US
“Raising Jake”? That’s a weird name - what does it mean? “Jake” is a slang term for “Just Right”. So the name Raising Jake came about as a slang term for “making it Just Right”. Raising Jake Studios is owned and operated by Jeff Rippe who is the former President and Chief Engineer of Rocksonics Professional Audio electronics. Jeff's experience in audio production dates back over 40 years to humble beginnings with a Teac 3340 4-channel reel-to-reel tape deck, later expanded to the Tascam TSR8 8-track. During that time Jeff designed numerous compressors, limiters and midi controlled hardware items under the Rocksonics name. Jeff continued to work in 8 and 24-track studios throughout the 1980’s and ‘90’s before moving into the “modern world” of DAW’s in 1998. “I remember when we were exhibiting with Rocksonics at NAMM in 1992. There was a company down the aisle from us with a big crowd around it promoting a new product called “Pro Tools”. Pro Tools? What’s that? Lol” - Jeff Jeff's experience as both an audio engineer and electronics engineer allows him to tap into a wealth of resources for each audio project bringing you the best in audio production.
